Perhaps you can relate…  Somewhere along the way, I settled for complacent days. I got lost in maintaining the status quo.

I took it for granted that we are already blessed with great health plus wealth that puts us in the top 1% of the wealthiest people in the world. I settled into that devastating metaphorical flat line space where dreams begin to die.

Then, under-whelmed, I scoured cupboards, the refrigerator, even closets for sugary treats to soothe anxiety. Or I’d turn to social media and live vicariously through the lives of others. Of course, my choices led to despair, loss of motivation, and unhealthy habits.

Along the way, I shelved a beloved art. I stopped writing.

It’s time for me to take my writing down from the shelf, blow off the dust, and begin again.

While I’m a dreamer at heart, sometimes I choose to neglect the nurture of those dreams because I believe that I need to choose one or the other. That if I pursue my dreams, I’ll have to sacrifice my first loves: my precious husband and children. Or that if I tend to my family, dreams need to get put on hold.

However, starting immediately, I’m experimenting with a theory that I’ve always preached, but not always followed myself. The theory is this: Husband and Wife make a complete family. The children are added blessings. They arrive in the family to unite with the parents on the mission, the dreams, the vision of the parents —

— to live beyond ourselves and make a difference in the world.

Over time, they get to experience alongside the parents what it looks like to follow a God-given destiny. As they get older and their hearts fill with dreams and destiny, the transition is organic, holistic. They’ll know what it looks like to dream big, take risks, work hard, persevere, trust.

I have friends who pursue their dreams with passion, live extraordinary lives, and share their art with the world. And this, all while bringing their families along with them. They’re peaceful. Confident.

It’s beautiful. Inspiring.

I’m inviting you to join me on this journey in the pursuit of two goals:

1) to take care of my body, feeding it only premium fuel, and

2) to throw myself headlong into entrepreneurial experiments alongside my family

…both for the sake of demonstrating gratitude for the amazing health and incredible wealth we’ve already been given and to grow in maturity in the area of stewardship.

Will you come along with me? The adventure is alway more fun when shared!
